There is a high volume of literature and many learned tomes in the field of management, in most cases they are either written for the benefit of large corporations or as academic books for students of management and business studies. Whilst they can provide interesting insights, they may not provide pertinent illustrations or examples to small business situations. The purpose of this series of publications is to act as a brief but essential small business guide in management. I will explain fundamental management principles in the context of a small business.  I endeavour to illustrate key points with anecdotal examples from my own experience of working with thousands of small businesses.
